Overeducated & Unemployable

Two weeks in (and confronted with one week of horrendously grey weather) I have fallen into my old lazy Summer pattern. After having said goodbye to P. this morning at 7:00, I crawled back in bed where I slept soundly till ten. I got up, hung around listening to the radio, eating breakfast, then eating lunch. In the afternoon I went to town to return DVDs to the library, but alas it was closed for the Flemish holiday today. Back home I finally found time to listen to the radio play based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale Wild Swans. It's hilarious. Especially the swans who communicate through headgear: "Swan 1 to swans 2 to 11. I've got target in sight. Over." And when they fly they sound like B52's flying low dropping bombs... err... excrements.
Getting food supplies for my meals this weekend, I had to choose the one shower of today to walk through. Coming home I wanted to change into another pair of trousers. They didn't fit. Luckily they're the smallest pair I own, so I don't have to run to the shops to buy a pair of slacks just yet.
For this evening I'm debating spamming my LJ a bit further. P. is sitting in a plane somewhere on its way to Melbourne. I asked him to make me a photograph of a kangaroo – he'll be in the right country for it anyway. He'll probably go to the local zoo in order to find a kangaroo who* isn't camera-shy. So I'll have to take care of myself for the next ten days.

*EDIT: Yes, I can anthropomorphize a kangaroo when talking about its alleged camera-shyness.
