Seems that in some Baptist Church somewhere they provide you with little milk cartons filled with a sip of wine and they call it Communion To Go. Be careful not to throw it in your coffee and don't use the wafer as a cookie.

I do wonder why the person that put this picture up on Flickr called the wine grape juice. It's wine. Or do Baptist priests drink grape juice?

Edit: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] gingerpig I now know that Baptists don't drink wine in mass. What a true Roman-Catholic girl I am for presuming it's always alcoholic wine that's used in mass! (No, I didn't sip altar wine in my days as an altar girl. They told me mass wine tasts foul and I believed them.)

We have non alcoholic communion wine(it's foul, it's tastes like tonic). Baptist churches tend to be temperate. We don't have any opened alcohol on the premises.

Doesn't mean Baptists don't drink though *cough* *g*

So it is grape juice. I was raised a Roman-Catholic and can assure you that those priests do drink wine. Not much, but it's wine. (I know, because I've been an altar girl when I was young...)
