Supporting the economy is great!
Aug. 13th, 2005 07:10 pmI bought clothes.
I now feel very fulfilled and very beautiful.
(Who wouldn't if she fits in size 34 – for non European continent dwellers: according to the skirt I bought at H&M that's US size 4.)
No, I don't care what size I am and yes, I know I'm too skinny, but for once I bought every goddamn thing I pulled off the shelves. I feel very good.

Date: 2005-08-13 10:51 am (UTC)I bought a skirt in England which I loved to bits, but had to return it because the stitching was coming undone (and there's this whole saga connected to it trying to find a Monsoon shop in the South East and having to return it to Accessorize who are basically the same shop but without the clothes and only the accessories, so I couldn't get another one). Well, need to go clothes shopping here, then.

Date: 2005-08-13 12:12 pm (UTC)A lot of the chains like H&M and Zara, which also provide for teenage girls that haven't put on some wait yet, start from 34. I don't have large hips, so I generally fit in their clothes. Otoh sometimes even I wonder who they make clothes for: 1m85 heigh girls with no hips that can get themselves into a size 34 I think.
I'm 1m65, so very average in that region.

Date: 2005-08-13 01:15 pm (UTC)Sister of Spouse is a size 8UK, 4US. She frequently bemoans the fact that I have a voluptuous figure and I am forever begging Spouse to pay for liposuction and a breast reduction op to allow me the vain hope of acquiring a figure a fraction closer to Sis of Spouse's and less the size Uk 16/14 (top heavy) that I currently inhabit.... I'll never be a size 10, but I do remember being a size 12 for many years, so there's hope for me yet.

Date: 2005-08-13 01:53 pm (UTC)Last year I thought I was going up one size, but the stress of the teaching job this year has reduced me to my previous figure. I don't how much weight I actually gained and then lost again because I refuse to stand on a scale. It makes me feel like I'm anorexic. Which I'm NOT. I checked and I still eat three meals a day (albeit small ones, but I have a terrible stomach) and love good food and sweets.
