Marking hell
Jun. 19th, 2005 11:20 pmMr. Forgetful has passed. That was the last essay I had to mark, the one that I found in my mailbox at half past eleven on Thursday. Some of the students really need to be told that it's handing in their paper or not passing or you'll never see said paper. Still, my marking hell is probably only a little purgatory, something where you're easily led out off with the right amount of work and prayer.
My year's worth of teaching really is over now. Just some extra formalities, like handing in the exams and the points, and then I'm off, into the great wide world, away from Mr. Forgetful and the other kids, away from Our Madame and her strange, indecisive behaviour. There are other new and exciting horizons for me to explore. If only I'd knew what those horizons will be and I wonder if they'll ever be exciting.

Date: 2005-06-20 03:07 am (UTC)The problem with Mr. Forgetful was that he's in his final year and I really didn't want him to fail my class because of his own stupidity. But when I deliberately told him: hand in today or you fail, the problem was fixed. I hope he doesn't work like this next year!
