The letter meme: M
Feb. 23rd, 2015 08:49 pmAsk me for a letter and I'll give you one, so you can fill out this questionnaire for yourself.
sister_luck provided me with an M.
Something you hate: Maggots. In our first apartment we had a fly infestation because a neighbour hadn't put his garbage bag out in Summer. It was disgusting.
Something you love: Marzipan. Especially in December.
Somewhere I've been: Montréal, almost ten years ago now. You can still find the account of that trip on here somewhere.
Somewhere I'd like to go: Malta? Don't know much more about it than that it's an island and sunny and right now I need islands in the sun.
Someone I know: Martine, mother of one of LB's friends and Marta, who bought our apartment a couple of years back. Guess what: they knew each other. The world in Brussels is very small.
A film I like: Minoes, a nice little Dutch film made after a book by the beloved Dutch children's writer Annie M.G. Schmidt.
A book I like: Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides, a wonderful tale about searching for your identity when that identity can't possibly be defined as female or male, but also a grand tale about immigration and family secrets.
