Hi I'm Dory
May. 20th, 2004 06:13 pmAnd there was something I shouldn't forget. Erm... Oh look here, that's me:

I wish I was as forgetful as Dory. I've read the summary of the last Angel. It was overwhelming, terrifying & sad. Just to be on the safe side: I'll put my thoughts behind a cut.
I loved the way they went back through five years of Angel on this one. Angel orders his henchmen to explore the day as if it was their last. Lorne sings again. Spike reads poetry (I loved it peeps actually liking what he writes). Gunn goes back to Annie and the shelter. Angel pays a visit to Connor, who says he has his memory back.
And the ending isn't as in Buffy, where we see that they don't go down. They fight and they escape. There are casualties, but the heroes have survived. In Angel we see our heroes fighting and that is the end of them: they fight. No amulets. No magicks. Just the fight and the swords. Hell breaks loose in "Hell A", but we don't see it cooling down again.
I was struck by the fact that all the humans have died this season: Cordelia, Fred, Wes and Gunn had only 10 minutes to spare. Humans are so weak -- easily broken. But we are many: we are a legion and there is always someone there to pick up the sword and continue the fight... To let this story move on...
Edit: Has anyone of you an English bible near and can you look for Marcus, Chapter 5, Verses 8-10? It's been brooding in my mind, and if you've read the cut, you might even understand why I ask...
