We all blog in our own peculiar way. The debate between blogging and journalism has come up more than once on my newsfeed very recently. Most recent was Jon Buscall's (The Grey Notebook) mention of a report that states that more and more Americans are reading blogs and getting their information there instead of from the traditional media. Jon goes on saying that bloggers work partly the same way traditional journalists do: get your news out there as fast as you can, especially the little bits that aren't important enough to check. You don't think much when you write them down.

It isn't the way I blog or "journal". I think my little entries through, wonder how to put the words just right, see how everything fits in. Writing an entry on five minutes? Sometimes I even change the time because it's been sitting here for over an hour. But I'm not a journalist. And I have a public that reads me for ever so different reasons.
