Oh, colleagues
Nov. 20th, 2013 04:43 pmThe eldest pupils attended a career fair yesterday morning. Especially the hair dressers and make-up assistants were well loved, as we could see when they came back in the afternoon. Various girls had their hair done up, and wore eye-shadow and lip-gloss. "Ooh," my colleague exclaimed, "they look like proper ladies!" Until she noticed some of the boys had had the same treatment. "I guess they have chosen to become a girl."
Two remarks I could have said, but decided against: first it's not because you're a boy, you can't wear make-up, and second there is nothing wrong with being a girl.
