• Thu, 09:17: The girls are watching vintage #Pippi Longstocking on the telly. The one I grew up with. Adorable how they're engrossed in it.

The kid, who is staying home with a bad cough, is currently watching Räuber Hotzenplotz in its original version with Gert Fröbe of James Bond villain fame for the umpteenth time. It is his ultimate comfort TV. He loves the book, too. The new movie is okay, but he is utterly charmed by the old version.

The eldest is especially mesmerised with anything princessy and she prefers cartoons to "real" films, so after some time she did give up on Pippi and started on one of her crafty projects.

I'm quite glad I got them both hooked on Kapitein Winokio, something current I can endure.
