  • Wed, 19:28: When I see red carpet ladies with a clutch I wonder where you put that thing when seated. Under the chair? How do u handle drinks & nibbles?

I always wonder what's inside the clutch anyway - it's far too small to contain all of products for make-up and wardrobe emergencys, so I assume there's a horde of assistants armed with those essentials waiting in the wings anyway!

I of course never read the Daily Mail, so I didn't see the article about the guy who is a red carpet escort/handler and who accompanies celebs down the red carpet, which seems to be an extra job distinct from Personal Assistant which seems to be a cross between secretary and manservant.

They prefer to be called bodyguards. Gives them an air of importance. ;-)

I've got one very small bag (clutch-size, but with a strap) and it can hold my purse, phone, house keys, lipstick, tampon, public transport card, while still being elegant. But it has a strap. Meaning I won't loose it, and have my hands free for cocktails and nibbles while standing around looking gorgeous. ;-)

I think the celebrity clutch only holds make-up. They wouldn't need any money, nor proof of identity. Keys of their house are provided by the chauffeur driving them home.
