But on a low burn...

First month of school has flown by – or cycled, as I've been doing four days out of five. My schedule's still a jumble. I've got four teaching hours doing something else than morality, but what that something else is, no-one knows. I'd like to use them to start on a project or whatever, but no-one cares. So I spend more time at school than ever, for less teaching hours. Hurrah!

Singing is going great, when I find time to practice. When we move house (in a month) things will be better. I hope.

A project sounds like fun, but it's difficult to do one one's own. Maybe you could do another radio play? Find someone to cooperate with?

Also, moving house is exciting, scary and once it is all behind you, you don't know how you did it. At least, that's what it was like for me. I'd be interested to find out how you're doing...

But that said, this place is still not finished; the office, where I've been cooped up all day needs work and re-organising and everything else needs a good clean. (We said everything was going to get better once the little one started kindergarten and we would have more time to do housework without a kid underfoot but as it turns out there is other stuff to organise in SmallTown - including finding tenants for a half-empty house, so chaos it is. Well, the autumn break is coming up....)

Doing a project for someone else's class was what I had in mind, but everyone is so busy on their own that they forget that there's a workload they could share.

Currently I'm only trying to get this house back in shape. There's clutter everywhere. During the Summer holiday I thought I had it all figured out, but working again had made all the clutter come back. We're so getting a cleaning lady for the house. I don't like living in filth.

We need to have work done on the ground floor of the house. That will be interesting...

WTF?

I can't believe you're moving again! It's like your life is a Ferrari while mine is a Volswagen.

WTF indeed. Looks like I'll be tutoring some kids with writing difficulties. The Head took ages figuring that one out.

We've lived here for five years, and didn't think we'd move this soon, but a house further up the street was for sale and it fitted our budget. So yes, we're moving again, but only three doors up the road. We can actually see our future garden from our balcony!
