Source de Friche
Aug. 20th, 2012 09:36 pmSomewhere in Brussels, the gate surrounding an empty lot isn't as sturdy as it looks.

Follow the white ribbons...

...and stumble upon a little walkway...

...leading you straight into an urban jungle.

'Source de Friche' is part of Parckdesign, an ongoing event "exploring the role of green space un the Brussels-Capital region". This years edition is titled GARDEN. With artistic and landscape interventions they try to open hidden spaces for the public. So we wandered through a wasteland, climbed between the trees, and peered over hedges. All for free. Do check it out.

Grassy pics
I'll leave this here, for the lovely autocorrect typo

Great pics, too. The treasure hunt aspect is a wonderful idea.
Is this an on-going project or does it have tome limit? We've recently got a community garden project in our town, but this is better.
