Jura, 6-15 July 2012
Jul. 18th, 2012 10:41 pmLast week we were vacationing in the French Jura, a low chain of mountains that lies in between Elzas and the high peaks of the Alps. Some of you might remember this is the region a dear friend of mine emigrated to. Our vacation was also a visit to meet the new arrival in their family: a big baby girl. We were invited to the baptism, but that was the day Wriggly Bum decided to be very carsick. We missed all the ceremonious blabber in church, but got plenty of opportunity after to make fun of the atheist dad, who simply did a favor to his very religious wife.
We stayed in Mijoux, a sleepy skiing station:
We visited Les cascades du Hérisson:

Nearby we had the col de la Faucille:
On the other side of this col lies the road to Geneva, here they have geese:
On the way home, we stopped in Nancy. Meet the Place Stanislas:
And see mee and Little Bit havingfun in the evening sun:

Date: 2012-07-19 08:43 pm (UTC)WB was carsick all over her nice dress (the only one she owns), her car seat, her cuddly animal. Had to wash everything by hand. She repeated the whole ordeal twice, but not with such a big amount of sick. Blue Donkey only got caught up in it a second time. Which wasn't pleasant. We now know Blue Donkey is necessary to have a good night sleep. We also know WB isn't carsick when she sleeps, or on straight roads.
