Storm

My thoughts go out to the people caught in the apocalyptic storm at Pukkelpop festival yesterday evening. This one hit very close to home, with lots of folk I know and acquaintances attending. My aunt, who lives nearby, had a crane topple over into her yard – destroying the three houses next to hers in the process. She got lucky and can still stay in her house. The others will have to be rebuild.
We only had lots of rain and hale, but not the terrible gusts of wind that turned Pukkelpop into a war zone. I hope the festival will recover. It's a good festival, and you can never prepare for the ultimate power of nature.

It's absolutely terrifying what nature can do to us. I hope all your friends and acquaintances got through the storm relatively unscathed.

What a lucky escape for your aunt!

They showed video made by the crowd during the storm. It was horrifying. I nearly cried.
