But I go back on Thursday. Because last time labour was induced, the gynaecologist wishes to follow me rather closely. According to me there's nothing wrong, just other people being very cautious. Midwife thinks the baby won't wait until the due date in two weeks. I'd like to have another week.

Like everywhere around the weather's been terribly hot. LB played in her tiny swimming pool yesterday and cleaned the balcony in the process. Now I'm waiting for cooler air, so I won't feel sticky in bed. I seem to cope pretty well (went to the hairdresser today – it was all I could muster, but it wasn't impossible). I have to make sure I don't walk too much or stand for a long period of time. My back doesn't agree with that, and that causes bad sleep.

Feeling tired, and not being able to sit on the floor for longer stretches of time, I feel a bit like a bad mother. LB turns to her Papa more often – maybe that's a good thing and she won't feel too alienated when her little sister finally arrives.

Glad to hear that everything is all right. Such heat must be even more unbearable when pregnant!

Cooler air should come tonight.

It's cooling down here. I hope the apartment cools off as well!

I seem to have managed pretty well the last two days, even though the temperatures rose above 30°C. Staying indoors helps, and a great partner who does everything I don't have the energy for.

It took a while but it's cooler here now - the morning was muggy and disgusting but now it's nice and crisp outside, if a little grey.

Having a supportive partner is so important (and you know that I'm speaking from experience here). And no, you're not a bad mother at all - you're giving LB someone to eventually gang up on you with. (That's lots of prepositions in weird places, but it seems to be the only way to make the sentence work without going really very formal.)

It has cooled down here as well. Didn't venture outdoors, though. I've slept maybe 4 hours last night, so I've spent most of the day dozing and hanging around.
