LB moments
Apr. 25th, 2011 09:17 pmLittle Bit is completely into the coming of #2. She points at my ever growing belly and says "Baby". Then she adds "Baby gone!" For her that's the best part of the whole baby business: It isn't there.
LB refuses to sing. I sing lots of children's songs for her. We've got a couple of books and lately she chooses a song for me to sing before bedtime as part of her good night ritual. She loves music and frequently asks "Pay iano." Yesterday the Easter Bunny brought her a little toy piano and a song book. I had been playing on it and singing for her. Later today I suddenly hear a pitch perfect rendition of "Alle eendjes zwemmen in het water", accompanied by toy piano. The lyrics weren't all there yet, but the music was. I'll never get her to repeat it, so I can record it.

Our boy sings along to the music in the car, or rather hums and warbles, and somewhere I've got a video of K playing House of the Rising Sun on the guitar and a nine-month old baby on his lap making sort of appropriate shsounds.
