On hold

With last week's thing still in the back of my head, I seem to have put this pregnancy on hold. I notice my belly getting bigger and there sure is something living in there. But as long as this uncertainty goes on, I can't invest in what's to come. There aren't yet any name suggestions to discuss. I'm not thinking about birth announcements. And when the second little one does come up, there's always a little nagging voice in my head that reminds me that we're not sure about it yet. Though you can never be sure...

Sounds like you don't have the results yet, do you?

No results yet. They were going to do a short test, but I was told the sample they would use for that was contaminated with my blood, so now they have to grow cells and that'll take three weeks before they get any results.

Writing it down on LJ does help to get it out of my system. And that other kid in the house also makes sure I can't fret.

I try not to consider the ifs until I know something, but it's like trying not to think about pink elephants.
