Date: 2010-10-09 07:23 pm (UTC)Is that the reason why I haven't finished watching Dollhouse yet? I'm not sure.
But I remember that torment well from both The Wire and The Shield. I even developed feelings of pity towards characters that I believed had no redeeming qualities whatsoever - and mourned the downfall of characters whom I had counted among the good guys.

When watching The Wire those feelings were more complicated, because I really started to feel for the characters, and understand they just couldn't help it. In True Blood they're just being plain stupid, and I can't help it, but think that it's only entertainment, and they can't be doing this, right, because people will so not like it? ;-)
