That series that's been surfing on the recent vampire-craze True Blood has (finally) made it to Flemish television. Big Sis has been watching DVDs and loves it, so we programmed the recorder. It's seriously enjoyable and witty. Tall, dark, broody vampire Bill had me grinning, because of the obvious winks to other exponents of the genre. I love the way these vampires suddenly speed up their movements. They're far removed from the ubiquitous martial arts every vampire in every film or television series seems to have mastered these days. And of course every character has to be played by this gorgeous person, but that's really not why we watch it, not even because of the beautiful pair of breasts that got serious amounts of screen time.
