Interesting read from Jill Walker Rettberg on a serious case where bloggers want to tell a story from their point of view, but this story is about a severe crime: "When everyone involved in a crime is a blogger".

*shudders*

What a horrible incident - it distracted me from the implications to society as a whole. And that they discussed it online afterwards - the victim, her friends and one of the perpetrators - is incredibly weird to me.

Horrible is too weak a word to describe it really.

It also shows how humans always seem to prey on those kind of stories. Is that what makes us read all those blogs?
And why does everyone have a blog anyway? Me included?
