Well, I'm not off as I wrote I would be in a previous post. When arriving at Bruxelles Midi train station we noticed all Eurostar trains had been cancelled. Some further investigation learned us that a head-on collision of two passenger trains was the cause of the cancellation. The accident happened on a busy rail track where also the fast trains to Paris and London pass. At this moment 18 deaths have been confirmed. There are also approximately 80 people wounded. I was shocked on learning that news. The place where it happened is very close to home. We decided not to wait and returned to our flat. The tickets can be changed during the next two months. This break will be spent at home.

I heard of that, it's really awful. And I'm also sorry your holiday won't be taking place... I hope you can enjoy it all the same.

I don't mind much about the holiday. We were going to Oxford, where P. is spending most of this year. Actually not going is probably more relaxing for me!

Oh, but P. is here! He was in the Netherlands last week and came back to Brussels for the weekend and we would go to Oxford together. He'd stay there and I would return with Little Bit on Friday.
The only trouble is he won't be able to meet up with a professor there this week, but he can still work, and he won't be missed that much. I would miss him much more. ;-)
