Got Carnival break next week. After spending the week in the Netherlands, P. came home to take LB and me to Oxford. We'll leave on Monday, which means you'll get even less words out of me in the coming week.
I'm glad with this break. It marks the start of the last six weeks of school before I go on parental leave and LB and I will join P. in Oxford for three months. I'm really looking forward to that. Caring for LB on my own most of the time is very tiring. She has developed a habit of going back to sleep after having puked her guts out in bed. So we had these moments where I find her fast asleep in the middle of a puddle of vomit. Such an episode usually ends with me only sleeping 5 hours. But luckily she's all fine. I guess LB's fondness for eating paper explains a lot.
I have also found out that being a single mum is the best way to get rid of the last of the pregnancy weight. I suddenly fit back into old jeans I thought I'd never fit into again. On the downside: I'm too skinny again, but taking time off at the end of the school year will help.

I've got BBC News on. Have you left yet? Hope you're not caught up in the train thing.

Move is chaotic, but we're managing. Doesn't look like the two downstairs rooms out back will be ready for us to move in.

Back home. Both Eurostar and Thalys trains didn't ride. We could have gone via Ghent and Lille, but didn't feel like making a detour. Because of the complete wreck there probably won't be any travelling this week.
