I thought something along the same lines. And that I don't even know where Surrey is.
But really, whenever I played with my Lego I was wondering whether it was possible to build life-size houses with them. The little blocks look so much sturdier than what people build their houses with. And so much easier to put together.
I built an airport and some planes once. It wasn't detailed and it wasn't properly airport-like, and the planes were weird and wacky shapes, but I had fun!
I still have my Lego. Well my Mama has it, and gets it out for her grandchildren now.
I used to build elaborate villages so that every little figurine we owned had a bed to sleep in. My sister loved to help. She was already past the age to be "allowed" to play with Lego, but couldn't resist helping her darling little sister. ;-)
I think it's brilliant for kids. Little kids and big kids alike! ;-) There's all these games consoles - Wii and XBox and whatever else - and really, you can get as much fun and enjoyment from sticking plastic bricks together and letting your imagination tell you what to build.
Lego is really one of the best games ever. And it's one of those things where you don't mind playing on your own.
I never really got the fun of computer games. The easy ones I please myself with for a while, but these elaborate games don't do it for me. My brother in law loves gaming, though. Can spend hours behind his computer.
Ooh, but I'm very interested in gaming. I find it intriguing. I simply don't seem to get the hang of it, and with most things: I give up if I don't get into it at once and immediately. (It's probably the reason why I never got into sports. It just took too much effort to be good at it.)
I love it - I read somewhere on the bbc website that he's trying to have a fully flushable lego toilet, too, and that he wants to live in the house for a day or so.
It reminds me of one of my former bosses though, who had a slight obsession with collecting stuff, including black and grey lego bricks which he bought off e-bay in bulk. Just because they're rare. He also bought several playmobil pirate ships 'for his kids'.
I only read he wanted to have a shower in there. It really is one of those child-hood dreams. I am a bit miffed I wasn't the only one with this crazy idea.
