On Friday 8yo Y. gave me one of those little plastic pool-thingies for Little Bit to play in in Summer. I totally adored how she really wanted to give a present.

I also melted when an ex-pupil told me how she didn't like her current secondary school morality teacher. My lessons were much better.

These are the moments that keep me going in this teaching job.

Awwwww.

I miss my pupils, though I'm quite happy not to have the day-to-day stress of prep and teaching and dealing with stuff.

It's the big day for my advanced students tomorrow. I'm a little nervous.

And she was over the moon when I gave her a thank you card today.

There are the nasty little buggers who you'd prefer to hit the wall with, but some of them like you so much, not only as a teacher, but also as a person.
