The timing ain't right.
Apr. 16th, 2009 10:11 pmSince the official start of spring on the 21st of March, an ice cream van has stopped at the roundabout at the end of the street every evening between 9:30 and 10pm. Most of the time it has been too cold for ice cream. Every evening it's been dark when I heard its song. And ice cream eating kids are usually in bed by that hour. This leaves me wondering if the ice cream man will be able to survive in these hard times of crisis?

Date: 2009-04-17 10:25 am (UTC)It's never too cold for ice cream. Well, if it's below freezing, then possibly it's too cold, but at any other time? In summer, ice cream becomes one of the major foodgroups nearly replacing chocolate, but that's just me, who according to family legend learnt to walk in an ice cream parlour.
It's probably that guy's last ditch attempt at selling the left-over ice cream of the day...
