I bought a 2009 diary with notebook just so I could write these things down, but apparently I prefer doing this from memory.
They usually have a solemn look on their faces, those people reading a book while travelling on public transport. Reading asks for their complete concentration, so they can filter out crying toddlers, noisy teens, and stinky drunkards. Books are a serious business, especially for the veiled women reading the Koran.
But not for him. An amused smile creeps over his face while he reads page after page in his pocket book. From where I'm standing I try to find out the source of his amusement. I can't make out the title of the book, but it must be a good one.
