Not fun!

Kernel panic on the eMac one day before going back to work... I can't do all the work I wanted to do, but I'm greatful I can still boot from an external harddisk and can reach all my documents from there. They came out unscathed. So the problem resides elsewhere and the only possibility left to get the system up and running again is reformatting. I hope it'll work. I was ready to say goodbye to eMac and buy a new one, while using this computer at school for dvd-watching and music-listening. I wasn't ready for it to give up on me.

Oh, there's nothing like computer trouble to help you take your mind off the challenges ahead... Let's hope the eMac survives.

Have a good day tomorrow!

Oh yeah! I had my lessons prepped without handouts, because I didn't want to rush in the morning to stand in line at the photocopier. I did want to make them anyway, so I could copy during lunch break for the next day. I'll just make the handouts another day, and P. will have his work cut out for him tomorrow! I'm working from the external harddisk now, but it's rather slow...

The line at the photocopier? That's definitely one thing that I don't miss about school.

School turns up in my dreams quite frequently. I don't like the nightmares, but the good dreams are nice, because I get to see some of my students and colleagues.

Good luck for tomorrow!

Who's going to watch over your daughter? Do you leave her in daycare or something?

I survived. Maybe not Gloria Gaynor style, but it felt like I hadn't left, which is good, right?

Little Bit stays at home with P. who will be stay-at-home-dad till Easter break. After that she'll go to daycare. Hadn't P. been able to stay at home I wouldn't have gone back to school just yet. She's still so small!
