We left Edinburgh in the rain to land in Brussels in the rain. My cold is still annoying me (we had to buy extra tissues because I didn't bring enough from home -- one packet per day wasn't enough). Because of the ongoing strike from the baggage handlers at Brussels airport our flight from London was cancelled. Luckily we got the option to take the next direct flight leaving from Edinburgh (we didn't book it because of the extra cost at the time), and got home on time, with our luggage. The baggage reclaim hall looked like one big mess, and smelt like dirty laundry. I'm glad our bags didn't get caught up in it.
I think I managed to make some decent pictures of some of the Edinburgh landmarks. I'll show you when I've finished the film on my camera and had it developed. When it comes to picture-taking, I'm pretty old school. Luckily the lab isn't, and does it scan the films for me.
All in all, it's good to be home.

Date: 2008-08-13 06:05 pm (UTC)For us the chaos was minimal, apart from the fact they had to rebook our flight (to a better one!), but the chaos left in the baggage hall was horrendous.
