Housewifely

On P.'s return from Melbourne I quickly get into a housewifely routine where I order him to clean out his backpack so I can wash his dirty laundry. This behaviour is probably only caused by my negligence of any kind of indoor activities. I haven't hoovered the floors or cleaned the windows. I haven't cleaned up my desk like I was supposed to, nor did I do all the ironing. In a fit of guilt I did half of it, so P. would have some clean t-shirts to wear when he came home.
He doesn't seem to mind so much, and mainly comments on my nasty cough: "But you've been ill!" After which he starts putting dishes in our dishwasher, cleans the floors and makes us dinner. I think we've now fully established who has the actual role of Housewife in this household.
At least we've got the soundtrack for whoever does those duties.

I feel better reading this because my one room in the entire world is a bit of a mess at the moment and I can't even keep that clean and tidy! Pitiful! :o/

I think the secret is his upbringing: his parents' house is spotlessly clean.

I'm glad I'm not the only lazy person around!
