Searching for sounds to use in class P. stumbled over The Freesound project for me. It's a great website where you can find recordings of whatever sound possible. I even found a recording of closing tram-doors that sounded exactly like the ones in Brussels. Best of all: when you upload sounds to this website you agree to release them under a Creative Commons licence, allowing the use of your recordings for samples. So perfect material for in class. The kids loved guessing the cows and chickens and rain falling down and the tram of course.

That's cool. It would be really handy for doing radio plays, too.

Maybe an idea for your classes?

It's also very useful for people making podcasts. Finding copyright-free music and sounds isn't all that easy.
