Date: 2007-11-19 08:33 pm (UTC)That's what I had assumed. The way it was presented on German tv, it seemed more like a desperate attempt by the brave Belgian citizens to get their politicians to see sense and to prevent the country from breaking apart.
But on the other hand, any kind of nationalism usually scares me, because it is so often about looking down on those that aren't perceived to belong.
