Why is it that making schedules for teachers is never straightforward?

I'm a bit tired of having to teach, but not knowing which groups in advance.

It took me a while to parse your statement (I'm tired and dense), but I guess you had the wonderful surprise when you got your timetable to find out that you're not teaching the groups you were told you were going to teach. Or that noone told you who you were going to teach and getting the timetable was like having someone set a meal before you but not telling you beforehand which cutlery to bring, so how you didn't know whether to bring a spoon, a steak-knife or just a fork.

Gah, that's annoying (whichever scenario it was) - that's one thing that in most cases works in my school, that you know before the end of the school year which groups you're going to teach and there are only minimal surprises.

That's about it yeah. They can't really do anything wrong with giving me certain groups. I have all the six years in the other school, so I've got preparation, but I don't have the correct amount of copies etc. Today I ended up with a student where I thought I would have none. We ended up having some good conversation on children's rights. I think I can work with the kid.

Teaching in my school is always a surprise. *sigh*
