Teen Angst

franceslievensIn my desk drawer I found an original screenplay entitled The Lake, written by me between May, 21st and October, 3rd 1994. It's this whole teen angst drama set in some small American town at the shores of a lake. The closing dialogue between Danny and lead character Karen summarises it all:
DANNY: What do you want to do with your life?
KAREN: I want to leave this town and let it die.
The text does state "...led it die", but that probably was just me not bothering to use the dictionary.
Do you think I could get some money out of the makers of Dawson's Creek for stealing my idea?
