Wouldn't it be hysterical if we were staring at the bean at the same time? My niece and I had a great stroll through Millennium Park (and Navy Pier) on Saturday afternoon.

According to the file the picture of The Bean was taken on Aug. 4 at 7:05pm. (Digital cameras can be quite handy.) We must have missed each other by a hair. Or haven't missed each other, just weren't aware we had to look for one another. *grins*

Now I can totally see why having different formats available on the camera is a good thing - for those tall buildings and the cloud gate.

There are two kinds of pictures I take - archive pics so that I can remember a place or a sight or an event and then there are the others that are more about perspective and style, more arty. Sometimes the line between the two is crossed or blurry, sometimes a snapshot turns out to be more than it is because of a lucky accident. I've decided that I like both equally, they just serve different purposes.

I usualy make archive photographs and P. does the arty stuff. Sometimes I don't make archive photographs because I know it won't work on paper and I'll just have to make do with my memory.

Yep, the different formats do come in handy. Sometimes he takes the large widescreen format to be able to cut it later on his computer.

My pictures are in full processing mode and will be developed by Monday.
