One of the strangest sights when flicking through channels on the hotel room television: Six men jamming in a shack to the tones of Elvis' Viva Las Vegas, but when they hit the refrain something completely different comes out. "Viva Viagra," they sing and a voice-over goes on explaining how and when to use the prescription drug. Not one of the men looks like he's over 60. Is this a way to lift the taboo surrounding erectile dysfunction? For a European from a country where commercials for prescription drugs are prohibited this is just disturbing.

There was even a former senator, Robert Dole, who did a commercial for Viagra several years back. Then in 2004 the FDA pulled the Viagra "Wild Thing" advertisements. They were rather blatant. This is almost tame by comparison. Though some groups are saying it encourages group sex (probably a coded message for gay sex). And others have simply said that Elvis must be turning over in his grave.

Makes you wonder what Elvis would have thought of it.

Thank you for the postcard, btw. I wish your camera good luck!
