Words that Would Make Nice Names for Babies, if it Weren't for their Unsuitable Meanings
Listed for girls beginning with the A is Angina. Actually that idea isn't that original.
In the Flemish children's series Kulderzipken, about a simple farmer's boy who does extraordinary things, one of the characters goes by the name of Queen Angina. Writer Hugo Matthyssen likes toying with words and the different persons he invents get strange names with double meanings and are subjected to lots of absurd humour. There's Ma Devil and her son, the Devil. She tries to make a good Devil out of him and encourages her son to do bad, but he simply wants to have fun and be good. The prinsess is called Prieeltje, which is nothing more than a bower or an arbour (dixit my dictionary).
Their were two seasons made of the series, that earned for itself a loyal public, even in reruns. Because of it's critical acclaim, the public network still views Kulderzipken as one of the best contemporary children's programs it has made. There is a place and a public for well made, non-conventional television.
