My Favourite Band

Scene: 2nd grade. We're drawing. The kids can draw whatever they want.

Kid E.: "Can I draw my favourite band, miss?"
Me: "Sure, go ahead. You can draw whatever you like. Who is your favourite band?"

(What do you expect from an 8 year old kid? I think K3.)

Kid E.: "The Ramones!"
Me: "Oh, they are supercool."
Kid E.: "I think so too. I've got a t-shirt and a cap and everything. I'll wear it to school for you."
Me: "I'll take pictures!"

Now I've got to wear my tight jeans on Friday, so I can headbang with the cool kids at school.

That kid's got great parents. I can tell just by the conversation. LOL

Although her mum was only in her teens when her daughter was born (if the daughter didn't misshear of course) she has a very stable and loving family. They're also the only parents I know of all the kids I have who stimulate creative expression. And of course she's a supercool kid. :-)
