Election Fever
Jun. 10th, 2007 12:22 pmThere's a bustle on election Sunday. People walking to the polling station and returning, meeting each other, gossiping. The line was non-existent, so I could go in, vote, and come out again. My date for the afternoon to keep me from watching the Big Election Show on the television messaged off with a migraine. P. is out on civic duty. He got claimed to man the polling station. So this afternoon it's only me, the housechores, and the television.

Date: 2007-06-10 10:39 am (UTC)I haven't gone to the polling station yet. I wonder if there will be queueing like for the Presidentials...

Date: 2007-06-10 10:44 am (UTC)I checked the newspaper and they start at 12. I want to watch because my favourite journalist is back for the show after having battled breast cancer. I missed her hard lined interviews during this campaign. It was all so very tame.
I didn't go too early. P. sent me a message at 8:30 saying they hadn't been able to start up one computer. At 10:00 I got a second message telling me the line was gone.
