Usualy you are dissuaded of eating right before you sing. You get those horrible slimes in your throat and your voice starts croaking. Not when you're Frances. You all know I weigh as much as your average underweight person. Singing does ask quite some energy. So when you sing three pieces right after each other on a Saturday morning at half past 11 having only drank some coffee (with sugar!) before coming to the music academy, the Frances-like figure that is you will turn pale in the middle of her song.
"I was wondering whether you were going to faint or not."
Which I didn't. I sang quite well and was surprised at my ability (loud and powerful voice, but the high notes weren't as good as they could be, because I simply didn't have the energy to use all my muscles). I did promise to eat good food before the exam on Tuesday.

Isn't that what cyclists eat right before starting an etappe in the Tour de France? I think they even have spaghetti for breakfast. It's a dish that gives you a lot of energy and is quickly digested.
