Nothing as depressing as a shopping spree that isn't. I need new shoes. The soles of my pair of Campers only need a couple more walks before having holes in them. So under clouds of grey and in the rain I set out, hunting for a pair of sensible, yet stylish shoes. As isn't sold in Brussels. Fashion dictates modern women wear high heeled sandals all throughout Spring and Summer. They don't mind rain that'll make their feet cold and wet. They don't mind strained ankles when they topple over. On those high heels they wait in line for hours to try on one of those Madonna dresses in H&M. I hung the one I was holding back in between the others of its kind. I didn't want to wait in line with the other fashionistas to try on a dress I wouldn't wear for the next couple of weeks because of cold, rainy weather. I wanted gloves. But fashion dictates that gloves aren't sold in Spring, even though it's still cold out and I need a pair.

god I know what you mean about shoes...I once went through two cities in two days and didn't find a pair I liked or if I did they didn't have it in my ridiculous size. Eventually settled on a beautiful pair of campers and I think I'm hooked for life. Straight to campers.com next time. Hm. Although, I just checked and campers.com doesn't sell campers. boooooooo.

I totally love Campers. I started with a pair of their regular trainers. Well, not that regular, because they were red and orange. Now I've got four pairs of them: high heeled sandals, flat slippers for Summer, boots I bought in sales, and the ones that are worn out now. I'm really considering just buying another pair of Campers... But the shops that sell them in Brussels weren't on my way yesterday. Don't they sell them online? There is a shop.camper.com, but I can't seem to make a connection...

ah shop.camper.com works fine for me(make sure you got camper.com and not campers.com) though i hate buying shoes online you never reeeeally know what they're going to be like do you? i need to feel shoes before i buy them, look at them from all angles and try them on if they've got my size. usually a visit to a shoe shop for me goes one of two ways. one: if i'm unlucky i go in and decide within 30 seconds of looking that there's nothing for me here. two: if i'm lucky i find one i like, spend time eyeing it up, feeling it a bit then ask for my size and they say oh no sorry we don't do 12s. repeat ad infinitum. well that was the last time i went...now i know about campers it'll all be different next time...

Yeah, it took a while to load, but I got it going eventualy. Well, if you stay within the same range of their shoes, you can buy them online, I guess. I also need to wear them before buying, because not all sizes are the same! So 12 is big? What's that in continental sizes? I've got a 37, which is a very standard girly size.

Err yes, that's gigantic. I think you'd have the same problems over here...
