Here comes the sun!

With all those singing birds and budding trees and blue skies, I suddenly feel the urge to start digging in the dirt. Added to my to-do-list: buy potting soil, pot plants, sow herbs.

There is a very scruffy bit of greenery next to the liquor store opposite my house. I can see it from my kitchen window and in spring I always get the urge to clean it up. (It's where the daffodils in my last batch of pictures live.)
There's a small tree there that fell over after a storm years ago, but it's still alive and there are lots of brambles which would have to be cleared and scary amounts of rubbish. It could become a nice place, if it weren't for the fact that it's also used as an outside urinal by the guys selling used cars in our street. They don't know or don't care that half the street can see them when they pee against the wall.

The plants live in pots inside, but the herbs will probably start living on the balcony. I love my balcony, but it's still a bit cold to go sit outside without my coat on.

I'm right there with you. And they have all the seeds and tools in the front of stores now. It's hard to get past them and just get the things I need.

I've got the potting soil, so now I have to find to the time to do the digging. :-)
