Request Line: Seagull
Jul. 5th, 2005 11:01 pmA couple of weeks ago I proposed to start up a request line.
chrissie_linnit responded: "I remember once, long time ago now over on the BC&S Board, Molloch commenting on the vastness and clarity of the Australian I presume, outback nightime sky, unpolluted by the artificial light of man. [...] However, I have yet to find a single piece of prose or poetry that puts down in words that experience or the emotions it evokes in one."
I'm a slow writer, so it took me some time to get the words right and still I'm not quite sure this is what was requested.

Signing off

Well that's it. I'm signing off for the next three weeks and moving to the ever faithful Moleskine Sketch Book. Whenever I get too close to a local Canadian computer words might find their way back here. Be prepared for post cards that are too late, honey eating bears and maple syrup.
If you start missing me already, you better check out the memories section. There's a selection of reviews, a crazy story involving Christmas decorations I wrote in between Christmas and New Year and much more. A special mention goes to a long essay about what it means to me to be a critic – I'm very proud of that one.
I'll "see" you later. Don't do what I wouldn't do, and no, I won't be keeping up with your blog.
