The Shadow of the Cross

paranoid_blonde asked me to write her a story with Angel and Spike and preferably NC17. When I started writing down everything I had in mind, I ended up with something that was much longer than I thought it would be at first. Therefore I'm posting it in two parts.
In honour of paranoid_blonde's demand this is adult lit, containing explicit violence and normal human speach patterns, i.e. swearing. Explicit sex is for part two.

Teen Angst

In my desk drawer I found an original screenplay entitled The Lake, written by me between May, 21st and October, 3rd 1994. It's this whole teen angst drama set in some small American town at the shores of a lake. The closing dialogue between Danny and lead character Karen summarises it all:

DANNY: What do you want to do with your life?
KAREN: I want to leave this town and let it die.
The text does state "...led it die", but that probably was just me not bothering to use the dictionary.

Do you think I could get some money out of the makers of Dawson's Creek for stealing my idea?
