Hear Frances sing Sally's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Some notes: It's a cappella, the quality of the recording isn't all that, and my voice has a bit too much vibrato on the long notes.

eta: Download is no longer available.

Thank you! When I'm more familiar with the recording software on my computer I might make a bigger effort.

I'm actually not familiar with the original song *hangs head in shame* but this is really lovely. :-)

Thanks!

The Nightmare Before Christmas (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107688/) is another film to put on your to-watch-list then. ;-) I would like to send you the original song, but I've got it off iTunes, which means DRM and not listenable on another computer. :-(

Oh, I've seen the film before but that was ages ago and I don't recall any of the songs.

Thanks for the offer, anyhow!

Thanks. :-)

It's really a very sweet film, btw, with a great soundtrack by Danny Elfman.

I love the song and I love your voice. It's very different from your speaking voice - which shows that you do proper singing. Wow.

Thanks. *hugs*

The difference is because I sing using my head voice -- regular technique when you're classicaly trained. When I sing pop-songs I use a different technique, but I'm not that good at it when trying to reach the high notes. Then I prefer using my head voice.

That's what I meant with "which shows you do proper singing", but I didn't know the words to express myself. I'm such a bystander when it comes to music - I can analyse it, I can hear if someone is off, but I just can't do it myself.

And now you can wander around with me on your mp3-player alongside Tom McRae. ;-)

Aw, you're welcome. :-D

Thanks for the huge appreciation. Maybe I should sing into the microphone more often.
