"Don't be startled," P. says. But whatever you do, a person is always startled by someone sneaking up on them. So here I am, hanging from the ceiling, not wanting to come down. The shame of being caught singing loudly along to Madonna's Into The Groove is too great.

When I figure out how to record something on GarageBand with good quality in the high regions, I'll post it... (I'm still hoping to solve the problem without having to buy a very expensive microphone.)

The boyfriend's startle reflex is quite amazing. I'm not the quietest person when walking around but I regularly catch him and then he just explodes. It's quite a sight - and sound! One day I'll give him a heart attack...

I don't go shouting or anything, but my heart does skip a beat, and that's not always as nice.

Hmm, over here we say people who are easily startled don't have a clear conscience. ;-)
