I rode on one of these yesterday. It was quite funny to do, and an easy way of transportation for a lazy bum. Still, I can't help it, but think people look very silly on those. They stand upright like on a Roman chariot, but without horses. In a way they are making a fool of themselves.

What I did discover, was that I'm still quite scared to try out things in which I might fall over, get dirty or just make a blatant fool of myself. Visiting Technopolis does require letting go of those fears though, or you don't try any of the fun stuff.

They're soooo cool. I'd love to try one - even though I'd definitely make a fool of myself, because I'm not good with stuff that requires coordination. I'd stop and start and fall off.

That's the thing: I thought I was going to fall of, but you actualy can't fall off, because it balances itself with your weight. If you stand upright it stands still. When you lean forward or backward it goes forward or backward. You can only run into things when you aren't so good in coordinating turns though. It does turn on its own axis, so when you feel you're going to run into something, you stand upright to slow down and stand still and then you can turn on the place where you're standing.

I actualy thought it much more fun than was good for me. ;-)
