Darker Still
Dec. 12th, 2006 11:20 amThe rain narrows your view. Darkness gets even more impenetrable as droplets kling to my glasses. I try to hold on to my umbrella, but the wind catches it every time, whatever way I point it. There must be a tram coming. That, or the light at the end of the tunnel is a frigging moped.
The tram does come and I climb on board, not knowing for sure where to get off. Every landmark gets swallowed by a curtain of grey. Slippery sidewalks, a giant puddle, and a noisy lift later, I arrive at my destination. "This better be good," I tell him, "Have you seen what weather I brave to pay you a visit?"
