Thanks for Delurking

franceslievensI hardly care about that American habit of saying thanks at the end of November. Why can't they simply say thanks when we give them something, hey? It's not nice to have to wait until November to get an email saying: "Thanks Frances, for that ballpoint pen I borrowed in February." No, I never understood the meaning of Thanksgiving. Although it did give us some good television sometimes.
What I do find funny is the holiday themed memes the American bloggers come up with. This one comes courtesy of Profgrrrrl (who nicked it from someone else by the way): it's Thanksgiving Delurking Week!
Long time readers will know how intrigued I am with the lurker phenomenon, as in always wanting to know if I have any. So if you're lurking, skulking, prowling, sneaking or snooping out there: stop by and say hi! Stealthily running away isn't an option. :-)

Date: 2006-11-22 05:18 pm (UTC)Sorry for bailing on you yesterday - had an old friend on the phone and the conversation began in a rather odd fashion with her asking me if I was pregnant. She had misunderstood something I said when we last met.... Also, her kids were butting in on the conversation and her phone played up, so yeah, I didn't manage to multitask and tell you I was on the phone!
