Busride home
Oct. 30th, 2006 12:02 pmAnd suddenly I feel invisible. Her big behind sways in my direction, and in a flash I imagine her climbing on top of me, thinking the place I occupy on this bus is actualy a vacant seat. I think I wouldn't even scream, but just make do with all the pounds of flesh hiding me from view. "Maybe my protruding bones will chase her away," I think, but then see the meat that can sit on ten drawing pins without noticing.
All these thoughts race through my head the instant I see her big behind sway in my direction, then slowly turning and climbing into the empty seat next to mine. I notice she's actualy carrying a folding chair, but that isn't what you sit on when inside a bus. She swings it over her shoulder like a soldier's bag the moment she gets off.
