This day I'm quite glad I've got two diaries. An electronic one just isn't enough. Not because I can't add stuff into it when I'm on the road, but mainly because I managed to delete everything in it without noticing. I couldn't even import the backup, because I've been deleting stuff for weeks now, backup included. But all is fine in the world. The hoarder in me has agendas that go back as far as 1995.

I'm quite the packrat as well. I can't bear to part from old agendas, letters, memorabilia... you name it!

I hardly can part with them either. P. otoh is the anti-archivist. He chucks everything out, saying it's in his computer-agenda.

Unfortunately he had the same problem I experienced...

I'm not quite as diary/agenda-obsessed as I used to be, but yeah, if I ever want to take a trip down memory lane, there are proper diaries going back to the late 80s and agendas through most of the 90s (with all sorts of social and work-/uni-related events penned in).

Usualy I don't need looking things up, but only because of nostalgic reasons go back to old stuff. Today I wanted to look something up for school, and I realised everything I'd put into iCal was gone. Very frustrating. But at least I can still look things up in my paper agendas.
